Dear Jacqui,

I know I have spoken to you on the ‘phone to thank you for the absolutely incredible food at Stephanie and Scott’s wedding, but I would also – even at this late stage! – like to put my thanks on record.

Your food -  the heavily laden, beautifully presented  harvest tables, the constant stream of platters of finger snacks, the piping hot main course and the array of totally delicious desserts, literally blew us – and most of our guests, it seems! – away!  It was beyond amazing, and we have had a constant stream of compliments from so many people, some of whom have said it is without exception the best food they have ever tasted.  We know from experience that it is not possible to serve better food than that which comes out of your kitchen, and  you and Jiff really pulled out all the stops for us on 17 September!  Your knowledge, experience and the fact that you yourself were here at work behind the scenes meant that we didn’t have to give any aspect of the food another thought.

Thank you so much, Jacqui. It was a privilege to be able to serve your food at one of the most important and special occasions in our lives.  We are deeply grateful to you and Jiff for everything you did for us: you were incredible.

Private Function: 60th Wedding Anniversary

Dear Jacqui,

This is a very belated but very warm thank you for the most delicious luncheon that you provided for us on the occasion of our 60th Wedding Anniversary in June.

We were really delighted with everything - the menu was just what we had hoped for,  the food itself could not have been bettered and was delicious, the presentation most tastefully and decoratively carried out - really mouth watering just to look at.

And, to add more cherries to the top, the waitrons carried out their duties with grace and smiles.

My only grouse was that all our guests enjoyed it so much that I was inundated with telephone calls and then letters telling me how wonderful they thought the 'food' was and how well it had all been organised - I seemed to spend the next few days on the phone!!!!

But, in reality, it was an occasion that was greatly enjoyed by all that were able to join us and they certainly voiced their appreciation loud and clearly.  We had several guests who had attended our wedding in Salisbury all those years ago and several who I had known since we were old enough to push dolls prams.

Would you also please pass on our thanks and appreciation to Chantal who was the usual star in the organisation. Even my little maid commented afterwards that Chantal was such a very kind, helpful and happy person!!

I must also apologise most sincerely for this LONG delay in writing but I did not have your address and we had a myriad of things happen directly after the occasion -- our daughter went overseas to do a locum for 3 months and I was responsible for my 15 year old Granddaughter which I found rather time consuming.

But though the expression of our appreciation is so very late we really do think  that you did us proud and we thank you most warmly for everything. Please pass on our thanks to your helpers.

We want to say a huge thank you to Food Matters team. Sharon and Jacqui, you did a sterling and professional job. From the time we started drawing up the menu (by the way, without even us meeting to taste your food!!!!). Everything was done via email and few telephone calls!
The food, from Canapé's, main meal and dessert was very tasty and presentation was classy- everything went smoothly. Your team of waiters were on top of things. All the guests, until today, are still  commenting on the job well done. Thank you for helping to make our day perfect.
We will certainly recommend you to anyone planning to get married.

We had a fantastic night and it was the easiest party I ever hosted! Chantal kept the front of house moving and eating and Jacqui worked her wonders in the kitchen. Everyone has raved about the food.

My only problem was being so well attended to front of house, that I never left the verandah myself! But knew it was all in such capable hands.

Such a success that all my friends think it should be an annual event. Which would be lovely!... Thank you so much to you all, so much efficiency and so much good food and service.

Thank you so much for the incredible food you cooked up for our wedding. It was magnificent and so delicious. Although I didn’t get to taste any canapés, I have heard they were amazing. You really are the best around and I am so glad I was fortunate enough to have you there. The soufflé was decadent as it should be and the lamb was so tender. Lara and Bryce's wedding cake was absolutely AMAZING. Beautiful, unique and deliciously decadent - no superlatives could adequately describe such a delicious, delightful creation! Our guests all came over and asked me to convey their compliments and tell you just how much they enjoyed every mouthful.

The quotation, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away", had special significance this weekend.

Not only did the wedding cake take our breath away, so did the mouthwatering meals which you prepared for our family. Thank you so much. It made my life - mother of the bride - so easy.

Food Matters totally exceeded our very high expectations. Thank you for taking the trouble to create our menu - you truly did an outstanding job. It was very helpful that you took such care to select the correct crockery and cutlery for the function and to arrange all the hiring.

Your staff gave us outstanding service and were professional and excellent in every respect. Most importantly, the food was magnificent and our guests thoroughly enjoyed every course!  The flavours and nuances were intricately interwoven to create some culinary masterpieces that will be long remembered.  In particular, I'm still dreaming of that Lindt Chocolate Tart!
