Position: SOUS CHEF

We are looking for a professional Sous Chef to be the second in command in our catering kitchen. Following our Head Chef’s specifications, the successful candidate will employ their culinary experience and management skills to play a critical role in maintaining our excellent reputation when it comes to food and service.


  • Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus

  • Produce high quality plates, for catering and take-away purposes

  • Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely and efficient manner

  • Report to and work with the Head Chef

  • Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation where necessary

  • Help to manage and train kitchen staff

  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately

  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and clients


  • Formal chef qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the catering industry

  • Valid driver’s license

  • A team player with initiative and creativity

  • Sober habits and a positive attitude

  • A strong knowledge of catering industry trends

  • Familiarity with and adherence to the industry’s best practices

  • Record of working with and managing kitchen staff

  • Accuracy and speed in handling high pressure situations
